The Birth of Kozo: A Carbon Bike Brand with Global Ambitions

In 2012, a small but ambitious factory in China began its journey in the world of bicycles, founded by a visionary entrepreneur—the uncle of the family behind what would later become Kozo.

Initially, the factory focused on crafting children's aluminum bikes, those compact 16" and 20" wheel models that brought joy to young riders.

Over the years, the supplier and manufacturer had honed it's craft, building a reputation for quality and reliability.

By 2017, the factory had become a trusted OEM manufacturer for premium bicycle brands, including KHS, a name that would grow to lead markets in both Taiwan and the U.S.

After five years of steady success, the supplier made a bold move. Reinvesting its profits, the company established a state-of-the-art carbon fibre manufacturing facility, equipped with advanced machinery. Like the story of Giant the brand.

This upgrade marked a turning point, enabling the supplier to begin OEM production of high-performance carbon frames for KHS. The transition to carbon fibre opened new doors, positioning the factory as a key player in the premium carbon bike market.

The Turning Point

Fast forward to 2023, when a new chapter began. A family member, who had been working at TWITTER BIKE in Shenzhen, was invited by their cousin to return to China from Spain and co-found a brand of their own—Kozo.

Together, they launched Kozo with a vision to create a carbon bike brand that could compete on a global stage.

Though still in its growth phase, Kozo is quickly gaining traction, establishing partnerships in South America, including a notable client with their own brand, ROCA.

The co-founders expertise in carbon fibre production became the backbone of Kozo’s offerings, ensuring that every frame met the high standards the factory had built its reputation on.

Our contact and supplier who joined from TWITTER BIKE took on a senior pivotal role, overseeing sales operations for both the South African and Spanish markets.

With fluency in Spanish, they were able to forge strong relationships with clients, helping Kozo carve out a foothold in these regions.

It is therefore our vision at CycleSphere Australia to team up with Kozo and bring these affordable high quality frames and bikes to the shores of Australia.

The Future

From its humble beginnings in children’s bikes to its evolution into a carbon bike innovator, Kozo’s story is one of family, ambition, and a relentless pursuit of quality—a brand born from a supplier’s legacy, now pedaling toward a bright future with CycleSphere Australia the head of the Australian market.

Just because our bikes come from China they are not inferior in any way shape or form as most of the world's bike manufacturing is done in China and Taiwan.

The world mostly comes from China now because of their expertise, low wages and passion to learn.
